Commissioned by a client to design custom graphics for her new downhill Wagner Skis, I got to create these beauties. She grew up skiing in Vermont and hiking in Wyoming, and wanted a pair of skis that showed those two places that are so close to her heart. Additionally, her other passion in life is competitive weightlifting. She asked me to create something that combined all four of her loves: weightlifting, Wyoming, Vermont, and skiing to create a wearable utilitarian piece of art. What we came up with was a figure of a weightlifter skiing with Teton-esque mountains behind her on the tip, and a big red barn on the tail, which is based on her grandmother's barn in Vermont.
